Strawberry Milk Cold (The Pink One)


Here's my new song for 2015, an early wedding anniversary gift for my wife. She's my inspiration in making music.

The story behind this song is that when my little boy was a bit younger, he often asks for milk at night but the way he's saying it is so funny. He said "Can I have a strawberry milk cold, the pink one?" And each time, he goes to sleep when he got it.

So, I decided to make him a song. It took me a long time to finish the song. Did a backing track and even shared it to one of my good friend who's a drummer to collaborate with the song. Initially the plan is a funky jazz song. It didn't work out. So the backing track was stuck for quite a while.

Then, I bought an electro-acoustic and I thought it would be a nice instrumental for the song. Tried it but it didn't work out as well, although it gave me some nice ideas to finish the song.

One evening, I stayed late and did some experimental effects on the song and just keep doing it until almost or past midnight, and song was done. I immediately messaged my sister and asked her if she can make an album art cover for this song, which she did. I love the album art, it is so cute.

Another good thing that happened with this song is that I was about to send the song to a recording studio for mixing and mastering but due to lack of budget and so I googled some keywords about mastering songs, making it louder, etc. and it gave me a link on YouTube, and that's it. My lightbulb moment.

Front Act on Introvoys Concert in Roxas City

We were invited to do a front act on Introvoys Concert in Roxas.  During those time, Introvoys was a big hit especially with their song Line To Heaven and Will I Survive to name afew. There were a lot of bands that time who's going to front act and I can't remember exactly the names but there's one that I can still remember and it's called Freaky Deaky, not sure if the spelling is correct. How to export MP3 in EnergyXT

Energy XT file save as MP3 The first thing we need to do in order to export our file, loop, clip, song or project into MP3 is to download and install LAME file to EnergyXT program.   Here’s the link where to download the LAME codec   http://lame.sourceforge.net/ Here’s another site where you can download LAME file.   http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php After successfully downloading the LAME exe file.   Copy it and paste it in your EnergyXT folder.   Normally the directory will be like this C:\Program Files\Energy XT\energyXT 2.5 for Windows Try and open now your EnergyXT and save or export file as MP3 to see if it works.

My DIY pedalboard

I am using an improvised setup for my effects and gadgets.  At the moment what Im using is a Digitech RP55 guitar processor and I bought on ebay an M-Audio expression pedal and sort of opened it and changed some polarity inside to match my Digitech foot pedal and it was a success.  I can now use the pedal either as a wah or whammy.  I was quite pleased with it because not only it's a small one but it's got a big punch. So much for that.  Now, having two pedals; a multieffects processor with the expression pedal connected to it, I think a pedalboard is a necessity.  Why?  Because the two pedals keep moving about and I had to kick it each time so that they are close to each other. What to do then? First thing's first, I looked online for DIY pedalboards as well as proper pedalboards that are commercially available and ready to be used.  Well, it's all good but I got an improvised setup so I was thinking that it won't fit my needs.  I ended...
