Third Gig in Manila

I transferred work again because my previous work which is business transcription was project based and I find it not stable. So, I worked with Transkripsyo in Pasig and it was recommended by my good friend Topsie who was my co-trainee in Makati during OTPI days. Armand and I met again in this company and formed a band. We rehearsed in Mang Alberto's again near Nepa Q-Mart, it was a Deja Vu because during OTPI days we tend to practise there plus Armand was also my bandmate with my previous work. At times we practised in Gio's house because he's got his drumkit there as well as some amplifiers.

We met an amazing and extra-ordinary drummer, not because he is really a very good drummer but because he is such a character. He is above average drummer that dwells with a good brand of hardware and drumkit who would spend money for a snare drums and cymbals. He bought a Pearl Piccolo snare, I don't know the specs but it was really very good. Our vocalists are Mayet who sang My Immortal of Evanescence, I think she also sang Out Of Reach by Gabrielle and Wag Na Wag Mong Sasabihin by Kitchie Nadal, Then Danilo sang Noypi by Bamboo and Ruel sang She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 and Vertical Horizon's Best I Ever Had during our Christmas Party.

Later Armand was reunited with Glen and introduced Gio, as the drummer and formed a group called Fancycakes with a female vocalist and their original composition "Handum" and "Andar". They became successful as an underground independent band and was featured on MYX Music Channel in the Philippines.

Front Act on Introvoys Concert in Roxas City

We were invited to do a front act on Introvoys Concert in Roxas. During those time, Introvoys was a big hit especially with their song Line To Heaven and Will I Survive to name afew. There were a lot of bands that time who's going to front act and I can't remember exactly the names but there's one that I can still remember and it's called Freaky Deaky, not sure if the spelling is correct. They sang Nirvana, Offspring, Collective Soul, etc. where they almost consume the entire time for all the frontacts. We were the last band and the organizer asked us to cut short with our setlist and we ended up with just 3 songs. We were not pleased but anyhow, we still chose our 3 best songs and that were Only Wanna Be With You by Hootie And The Blowfish where I was the one who sang it, To Be With You by Mr. Big and our bassist, Dolores sang it then our last song was Hotel California by Eagles where Jingle and I blend together at the ending guitar solo and Louie sang it. My DIY pedalboard

I am using an improvised setup for my effects and gadgets. At the moment what Im using is a Digitech RP55 guitar processor and I bought on ebay an M-Audio expression pedal and sort of opened it and changed some polarity inside to match my Digitech foot pedal and it was a success. I can now use the pedal either as a wah or whammy. I was quite pleased with it because not only it's a small one but it's got a big punch. So much for that. Now, having two pedals; a multieffects processor with the expression pedal connected to it, I think a pedalboard is a necessity. Why? Because the two pedals keep moving about and I had to kick it each time so that they are close to each other. What to do then? First thing's first, I looked online for DIY pedalboards as well as proper pedalboards that are commercially available and ready to be used.
