Convert your Android phone and tablet to Karaoke Machine

At first I thought I will be stuck with iPhone or iPad to be a good portable karaoke machine but I was wrong, I just recently found out I can convert my Sony Erickson Xperia 10i can be converted into a pocket-sized karaoke player.  How did I do it? Simple.

Go to your marketplace or Play Store and download Karaoke-A-GoGo Lite which is free and install.  Now, the question is how to make this work.  You need to have CDG files paired with MP3 files just like my previous blog with iPhone and Ipad Karaoke.  Download this files to your computer or laptop and upload this to your phone's SD card under Karaoke folder which automatically created when you installed the Karaoke-A-GoGo.  Always remember to copy both files the CDG and MP3.  For more detailed instructions you can open the HELP button of Karaoke-A-GoGo.

Some problems encountered, Karaoke-A-GoGo was a bit slow in my phone Xperia but it was remedied by opening the OPTIONS button and adjusted the FRAME RATE to a lesser number which is 10.  There are two numbers to choose from 30 and 10 so try your device, which suits best coz it may vary from certain devices' speed.

You can view or visit my YouTube channel for karaoke backing tracks. Just visit https://www.youtube.com/user/VinnyBorresBackingTracks and its free.  Enjoy! You can try this with other phones HTC, Samsung, or Tablets like Archos, Sony, etc. By the way, the trial or free version of Karaoke-A-GoGo limits you to 20 songs as the maximum unless you upgrade to full version so for now just download or choose your 20 top hits or favourites.

How to export MP3 in EnergyXT

Energy XT file save as MP3 The first thing we need to do in order to export our file, loop, clip, song or project into MP3 is to download and install LAME file to EnergyXT program.   Here’s the link where to download the LAME codec   http://lame.sourceforge.net/ Here’s another site where you can download LAME file.   http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php After successfully downloading the LAME exe file.   Copy it and paste it in your EnergyXT folder.   Normally the directory will be like this C:\Program Files\Energy XT\energyXT 2.5 for Windows Try and open now your EnergyXT and save or export file as MP3 to see if it works.

EnergyXT comes with a flashdrive

EnegyXT comes with a portable drive or what we call flash drive.   In there are necessary files to run EnergyXT to any computer from a desktop or a laptop or a netbook as long as you got access to USB. The files that we need to copy are: clips presets projects samples temp\ energyXT2.exe energyXT.ini lame.exe libaam.dll xt.lck     energyXT2 VST.dll      energyXT.ini And paste these files in the program files with your folder EnergyXT then create a desktop shortcut or copy the shortcut onto your desktop.   The more you update your EnergyXT the more files will be included like rexloader, etc. You can now hop from one computer to another always make sure to keep your flashdrive safe and secure. This is what Im doing now, from Dell Inspiron to Sony Vaio to my wife's HP mini.  Really portable and handy.

Subtle Culprits - new band to follow this 2015

I recently formed a group called Subtle Culprits. It was pure luck to meet all these awesome musicians. It all started with JoinMyBand.  I was desperate for a vocalist and do some acoustic duo so I posted on JoinMyBand as well as Gumtree some ads that Im interested for a vocalist to collaborate with and that Im based in Romsey. There were people who showed interest i.e. emailed me and contacted me. There was one as well who came and visited for an audition. I really admired her voice but still didn't work out because it took me awhile to contact her back after that audition due to moving houses. Anyways, she did not reply or show any interest after that. So, I continued trying my luck. The first one to join was Dan. He got interested because we are from the same area (Romsey). So he messaged me and said that he is a songwriter and a musician. Can play guitar but much comfortable with the bass. So we arranged a meetup and chat, and we did. Exchanged some ideas and songs online...
