Bastirik by Vincent Ryan Borres

Bastirik By:  Vincent Ryan Borres This song for me is very special because the words of this song is from my Dad who often sing this to us when we were kids or even babies.  Then, it was pass on now from generation to generation like my uncles are singning this to their children and then now being a dad, I am singing this to my son. It was a bit difficult writing this song because I couldn't add some more words to it so, I did an instrumental for this song which made the song perfect.

Ngaa Bala English translation

Why Can't It Be by Vincent Ryan Borres Why is it that when it's gloomy and gray, we are sad. But, behind the dark clouds the sun is shining and gives us hope Why is it that when coffee is hot, we love to sip Why does rice cake and dark pudding are so matched, that you can't separate. Chorus: Why can't it be, why can't it be Oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why Why can't it be. Why is it that there are people who got everything but still lack faith, Complete with eyes and ears but does not put it in good use. Lucky are those who are blind and deaf, because their love is so pure and based on trust and faith.

Ngaa Bala by Vincent Ryan Borres

Ngaa Bala By:  Vincent Ryan Borres This is another composition that was spontaneously done and started with chords pattern and everything after fall into place even the words.  I was using this chords pattern for quite a long while now and often I'm using this pattern when I'm jamming Bossanova using my keyboards or classical guitar. Also I was inspired to write this song because I started writing a poem in my dialect and then I was listening to Miska, a brilliant reggae artist and that made me finish this song.

Nagahulat Sa Emo tagalog translation

Mula pagsikat ng araw hanggang maghapon ikaw ay babantayan, Mamahalin at aalagaan.... because you are my only one

Nagahulat Sa Emo English translation

"I will wait for you" by Vincent Ryan Borres I knew it from the start that you'd never accept my love Although it's hurting me, but I'm willing to bear the pain Water may fade, so plants may die, You may forget me, but never shall I. Chorus: If ever you'll go and leave me behind, Whatever you do, I will for you. From dusk 'til dawn, I think of you because I don't know what to do when you're gone. I will always guide you and take care of you Because you are my only one.

Nagahulat Sa Emo by Vincent Ryan Borres

Nagahulat Sa Emo By:  Vincent Ryan Borres This song was written long time ago during my high school days and we first sang this song during our Science Camp.  I played the acoustic guitar and my mates were with me singing this song and everyone that time loved it.  It was a simple acoustic jamming song. I managed to finish the song now because I got all the gears I needed.  So from keyboards to guitar and bass part, I did it all plus the vocals.  The song was initially titled as "Nagahulat sa imo" (Waiting For You).  And, because the lyrics is a bit emotional I put a contrast to it with a reggae rhythm and changed the title as "Nagahulat Sa Emo", Emo for emotional.

Rycicle by Vincent Ryan Borres

Rycicle By: Vincent Ryan Borres I compose this song by accident.  Just playing around with the Keyboards that I bought from carboot plus my recording software, which is Energy XT.  After tweaking and playing around, I just managed to make a beautiful and relaxing tune.  I also added some guitar lead that completed that song.  So I named this song after my nickname Ryan and combine it with the Icicle which is icy and relaxing that's how I got the word Rycicle.

829 by Vincent Ryan Borres

829  By: Vincent Ryan Borres The song was written for my son, Liam who was born on August 29, 2010. I was playing a toy piano/xylophone a certain melody that calms down my baby and it stayed in my head and I even recorded it on my mobile as a video just the intro riff.  Then finaly seeing my son the first time, I was overwhelmed and very happy and inspired, so I decided to push through with this song. The melody and rhythm of the song are both welcoming and inspirational.  Also I was new with doing recording via laptop and what gear to use and how to go about it but I did manage to create a beautiful and memorable song that is dedicated to my son.

Love Fell On Me by Vincent Ryan Borres

Love Fell On Me By: Vincent Ryan Borres This song started when I was in Iloilo and jamming with bunch of musicians selling guitar and keyboards in Robinson's and they were near the escalator.  We started out with a chords pattern and it jive.  I was playing the guitar that time and there was a guy who plays the keyboards and he is very good.  But, all I can remember was the chords pattern that we are doing. Then when I finally started my home recording via my laptop, I remember that chords pattern and I was inspired writing the song for my wife Lofel that's where the title came from.  So, I did the song all by myself from drum pattern, bassline, keyboards and the lead.  Enjoy.
