Summary of my 2017 activities

What have I accomplished this 2017? As usual, Im proud of my band Subtle Culprits . We had few gigs this year but managed to write songs although we haven’t recorded it yet but we’ve finished 3 songs as a band and performed it live during our gig in Portsmouth through Pilot Promotions at The Edge of the Wedge last May 12. I managed to release an album called Trance Fusion where I remastered my songs from my album Key Note and then added bonus tracks from previously unreleased singles/EP. This is available on CD Baby , iTunes , Deezer and Spotify . Another achievement for me was enrolling myself for a private guitar lesson with Laurence Henderson . It's never too late to start something and learn something. I've learned more about modes and improved my timing and reading notes. It really help me understand more and improved my guitar playing.  Also I started re-learning keyboards, which I totally stopped for almost two decades. And then bought books and share...

Trance Fusion 2017

TRANCE FUSION by Vincent Ryan Borres Just recently released an album called Trance Fusion. It took a while for me to release it due to time and financial challenges. But now, a long last, I managed to release it. The album is a compilation/combined songs from my previously released album Key Note and my unreleased EP, which is Trance Fusion.  There are songs from Key Note that I had to edit and remastered for this. The album is a bit of Trance, Jazz, Reggae and Alternative Rock combined hence the title of the album Trance Fusion.  You can hear my influences on this one from Bob Marley to U2 up to Joe Satriani to Prodigy and Dario G. It is widely varied in terms of genre but for those who knew me as an artist and musician can say that this album is really me. Here are the 9 tracks that included in the album.  Soon will be out on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play and CD Baby. Plus available for streaming on Spotify.

Spice up your 50 shades of grey on Valentine's day

This 2015, Valentine's day is going to be very special because of the movie 50 shades of grey not only being a big hit as a book but now on big screen. But Im here not to promote the movie or Valentine's day, instead I want to spice up your V day by giving away my song titled Strawberry Milk Cold (The Pink One). Valentine's day is almost always associated with hearts, roses, chocolate, romance, red and others pink. So, I think my song is just right timing on this occasion. The song is purely instrumental, very relaxing and chill out but can also be a bit of seductive music, tantric, orgasmic or sensual type of music depending on the occasion. Also you can associate my song as having a massage with rivers flowing or water running in a stream. Can be a nature friendly song. So much for the introduction here's how to download my song for free.  All you need to do is go to www.artistsignal.com and signup using your facebook account and vote. Only 1 vote is require...

Subtle Culprits - new band to follow this 2015

I recently formed a group called Subtle Culprits. It was pure luck to meet all these awesome musicians. It all started with JoinMyBand.  I was desperate for a vocalist and do some acoustic duo so I posted on JoinMyBand as well as Gumtree some ads that Im interested for a vocalist to collaborate with and that Im based in Romsey. There were people who showed interest i.e. emailed me and contacted me. There was one as well who came and visited for an audition. I really admired her voice but still didn't work out because it took me awhile to contact her back after that audition due to moving houses. Anyways, she did not reply or show any interest after that. So, I continued trying my luck. The first one to join was Dan. He got interested because we are from the same area (Romsey). So he messaged me and said that he is a songwriter and a musician. Can play guitar but much comfortable with the bass. So we arranged a meetup and chat, and we did. Exchanged some ideas and songs online...

Strawberry Milk Cold (The Pink One)

Here's my new song for 2015, an early wedding anniversary gift for my wife. She's my inspiration in making music. The story behind this song is that when my little boy was a bit younger, he often asks for milk at night but the way he's saying it is so funny. He said "Can I have a strawberry milk cold, the pink one?" And each time, he goes to sleep when he got it. So, I decided to make him a song. It took me a long time to finish the song. Did a backing track and even shared it to one of my good friend who's a drummer to collaborate with the song. Initially the plan is a funky jazz song. It didn't work out. So the backing track was stuck for quite a while. Then, I bought an electro-acoustic and I thought it would be a nice instrumental for the song. Tried it but it didn't work out as well, although it gave me some nice ideas to finish the song. One evening, I stayed late and did some experimental effects on the song and just keep doing it unt...
